Josephine Roybal

San Ildefonso Pueblo Artist
Sister: Roybal Martinez, Santana
Modern writers (Dillingham, Schaaf) don’t list her as a potter, but based on this elegant little buff on red piece, that’s an injustice. Josephine, or Josepha, was Santana’s older sister, most likely was born between 1900 and 1905 and most likely died before 1960.
